"Tuigak", Fried Sea Tangle.

My little brother is still in school and living by himself, so I sometimes send him Korean food. This time, he requested Tuigak(fried sea tangle). Tuigak is a good snack and banchan(small dish). I actually like to eat with beer. :P

Quite easy to make and healthier snack.

You will need

Dried sea tangles(or kelp)
Canola oil(just about to fill bottom of the pan)
Sugar

Directions

1. Clean outside of sea tangles with wet towel.

2. Cut them into small pieces (around 1" by 1.5")

3. Heat up the oil (check with wooden spoon. oil will bubble.)

4. Sea tangles cook really quickly. It will take only 10 to 20 seconds.

4. Bubbles show up when it cooked.

5. Remove from oil, drain onto towels and season with sugar to taste.

The sea tangles become bigger once you cook. They are crunchy, salty and sweet. Unless you really hate sea weedy taste, this is so addicting. They are totally vegan and good for constipation.

I had it Omija tea today. Omija tea is sour, sweet and refreshing, so it helps clean up slightly bitterness from fried sea tangles.

I prefer this snack with beer or white wine. haha.
